Like many cities and towns, Merrimack doesn’t have money in its budget for a dog park so private funds are being sought from supporters of the park and animal lovers.

The park will be located in Wasserman Park, off Naticook Road.

This past spring, the park area was cleared and now, stumps need to be removed. In addition to site work, footing and fencing will also need to be purchased and installed.

The area already has a parking lot, hiking trails, a playground, and a beach, on Naticook Lake. There will be two sections of the park for large and small dogs.

The T-shirts (pictured in this post) are selling for $25.
