MYA Wrestlers work hard at the Blue Hawk Youth Tournament

Two MYA wrestlers bring home the big Trophy in Stratham, NH

The Merrimack Youth Program sent nine wrestlers to compete in the 2016 Blue Hawk Youth Wrestling Tournament held at the Cooperative Middle School of Stratham, NH on January 17, 2016 .  Individual results were as follows:

First graders Rhys Dewar and Kael McAloon finished in second and fourth place respectively, each with one pin.

Collin Schuster, grade 1, also competed and fell in his first match by a single point.

Second graders, Gryffen Gelinas, Cayden Dine and Jackson Meehan took fourth, third and first place, respectively.  Gelinas and Meehan had one pin each and Dine had two pins on the day.

Third grader, Ivey Johnson rolled through her bracket pinning all of her opponents and taking first place on the podium.

Fourth graders Owen Forrest and Mitchell Krupp both fought hard taking fourth place.
