MYA Wrestling Takes on Triple Header
Merrimack Wrestling competes at Natick, Conval and Pelham
The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program competed in the Annual Natick Youth Wrestling Tournament held at Natick High School in Natick, MA on January 12, 2019. Additionally wrestlers attended the annual Conval Youth Wrestling Classic held at Conval High School in Peterborough, NH on January 13, 2019 as well as the NHWAY Team Dual Championships at Pelham High School in Pelham, NH. Individual results from each event are below:
Natick:
Kindergartner Bennett Meehan achieved his first career championship title pinning two of his opponents and securing his final match by points.

Kameron Lewis, grade 1, took home second place medal beating his two opponents by pin.
Fourth graders Luke Emond and Aiden Kennedy earned fourth and third place respectively on the day. Kennedy defeated his final opponent by pin.

John Regal and Nicolin Stevens, grade 5 each fought hard in their respective bracket. Regal had one win by pin. Other fifth grader Jackson Meehan took home first place medal defeating two of his opponents by pin and one by points.
Sixth grader, Ivey Johnson grabbed second place on the podium defeating two of her opponents by pin.
Conval:
Our Kindergarten contingent consisted of Ryan McMahon, Caleb Bell and Matthew Snavely. McMahon and Bell both took home fourth place medal. Snavely secured one win by pin and one by tech fall taking second place on the podium.
Second graders Allison McMahon and Calissa Bell took home fifth and third place respectively. Bell secured her career first win by pin against her second opponent.
Gryffen Gelinas and Griffin Turgeon, grade 5, earned 3rd and 4th place respectively. Each wrestler had one win by pin on the day.
NHWAY Duals:
Merrimack as a team took third overall against Manchester, Nashua and two Pelham teams. The following wrestlers represented Merrimack: Bennett Meehan, Kameron Lewis, Cash Torres, Liam Newman, Luke Emond, Rhys Dewar, Micah Dodds, Cayden Dine, Jackson Meehan, John Regal, Nicolin Stevens, Ivey Johnson, Mitchell Krupp
