Nashua, Londonderry Women Charged in Mall Employee Theft: Cops

MERRIMACK, NH — Two area women have been arrested after investigators allegedly uncovered an employee at a mall shop who allegedly colluded with the woman and sold them discounted items, according to police. Shanny Cedeno, 20, pictured left, of Front Street in Nashua, and [Name Removed], 20, of Colonial Drive in Londonderry, were arrested on May 14, 2017, for receiving stolen property. Officers began an investigation into the incident earlier this month after being called to the Merrimack Premium Outlet Mall on a theft claim, according to Sgt. Cassell of the Merrimack Police Department.

“Upon arrival, officers discovered that an employee, Frank Dempsey, who has since been arrested, would either sell items to his friends at an unauthorized discount or not properly scan items at the register during transactions,” Cassell alleged. “During the course of the investigation, two of the friends were identified as Shanny Cedeno and [Name Removed]. The investigating officer determined that the women conspired with Dempsey to carry out the thefts and obtained warrants for their arrests.”

Both turned themselves into police on May 14, and were processed and released on personal recognizance bail. They are due in court on June 15.
