Nashua Man Arrested for Aggravated OUI

Police: Seth Fournier was arrested for drunk driving a second time, this time, on the Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested on drunk driving charges last weekend after a traffic stop on the Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, according to police. Seth G. Fournier, 27, of 160 Concord St. in Nashua, was arrested on Aug. 26, 2016, for operating under the influence of liquor, second offense, and aggravated operating under the influence of liquor.

According to a report, at just before 10 p.m. on Saturday night, an officer reportedly observed a motor vehicle exit the parking lot of a Daniel Webster Highway business “at a high rate of speed.” The vehicle was allegedly operating erratically, so the driver was pulled over, according to Sgt. Kenneth MacLeod of the Merrimack Police Department.

“The officer subsequently stopped the motor vehicle and made contact with the operator who was identified as Seth G. Fournier,” according to MacLeod. “Upon making contact with Fournier, the officer observed signs of impairment due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Upon further investigation by the officer, Fournier was arrested and charged.”

Since it was the second time Fournier was arrested – he was arrested on DWI charges in Nashua in November 2012, according to police – he was charged with a second offense and the charge was elevated to aggravated, due to his alleged speeding.

Fournier was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court next week.
