According to police, officers were sent to the Hawthorn Inn for a noise complaint about a party in one of the suites.
“Upon knocking on the door to the room involved the door was opened and officers were able to observe open containers of alcoholic beverages in the presence of approximately 25 people,” according to Mptl Jim Sullivan of the Merrimack Police Department.

Most of the party’s attendees, police allege, were underage. Two were taken to the hospital due to their intoxicated conditions. Sullivan alleged that Baez had rented the room for the day and was present while underage people were drinking so he was arrested. Baez is due in Merrimack District Court on Dec. 10.
According to online reports, Baez is no stranger to police.
On April 13, he was arrested in Hollis for disobeying a police officer, reckless driving, operating after suspension, operating a motorcycle without a license, unregistered motor vehicle, and a bench warrant, after an alleged chase on a motorcycle.
