Nashua Man Cited for Speeding After Crash in Merrimack
Tractor-trailer unit jackknifes on the Everett Turnpike.

A local truck driver was cited after an early morning crash on the Everett Turnpike early this morning.
Justin Daka, 67, of Nashua, was cited for speeding (too fast for existing road conditions) and highway markings, unbroken line violation.
According to the New Hampshire State Police, troopers were called to a tractor-trailer accident on the Everett Turnpike at around 4:15 a.m. on Feb. 15, 2015.

The troopers found the truck jackknifed on the right side of the road just south of Mile Marker 13.6 in Merrimack.
“Daka stated that he was traveling in the right travel lane when he lost control due to road conditions,” according to Sgt. Bryan Trask.

The trooper “determined that the cause of this crash was due to Daka was traveling too fast for the existing conditions causing the Tractor Trailer Unit he was operating to subsequently jackknifed and crash into the snowbank off to the right side of the roadway,” according to an alert.
Daka was not injured in the accident but was cited.
The turnpike was restricted to a single lane for about two hours while the accident was cleared and the road treated.
