Nashua Man Injured In Everett Turnpike Crash In Merrimack

A pickup lost control on the southbound side on Saturday. Speed and weather are considered factors, according to New Hampshire State Police.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Nashua man was sent to the hospital on Saturday after a crash on the Everett Turnpike in Merrimack.

Just before 7 p.m., New Hampshire State Police along with Merrimack police and fire and rescue teams were called to a single-vehicle crash near Mile Marker 16 on the southbound side of the highway. A 1998 Ford Ranger pickup, being driven by Joseph Basiliere, 55, of Nashua, lost control, drove off the right side of the highway, and struck a tree.

“Basiliere was transported to the Elliott Hospital in Manchester for treatment of serious injuries sustained from the crash,” said Lt. Bryan Trask of Troop B.

Trask said speed and weather conditions appear to be factors although all aspects of the accident remain under investigation.
