The officers began to search the area, attempting to locate a vehicle that may have been involved in the crashes. While doing so, another officer located a vehicle heading north on the Daniel Webster Highway at a slow rate of speed, according to the report.

“The vehicle was having lane control issues and was subsequently stopped in the area of BAE where the officer made contact with the operator of the vehicle who was identified as Sandra Norman,” according to Mptl. Sean McGuire of the Merrimack Police Department. “While speaking with Norman, the officer observed signs of impairment due to consumption of alcoholic beverages. Upon further investigation by the officer, Norman was placed under arrest for OUIL 2nd offense.”

At the time of the arrest, the officer noticed front-end damage on the driver’s side and passenger side as well as two different colors of paint that had been transferred onto the vehicle, according to the report.

“It was also confirmed that the damage was consistent with the two vehicles hit in the area of Swift Lane,” McGuire stated.

Norman was held on $1,000 cash bail and transported to the Valley Street Jail. She was arraigned later that morning.
