The Humane Society for Greater Nashua visited Naticook Day Camp on Thursday, August 15. In the spirit of giving, the campers engaged in a weeklong bunk versus bunk penny war to benefit the Humane Society. The campers had fun filling their piggy banks up with pennies and watching which bunk was in the lead. The game brought out many competitive spirits, and the campers came together to raise money for a wonderful cause. At the close of the penny wars, the campers raised $303.03 to donate to the Humane Society! This generous donation will help provide food, supplies, medical care and shelter for their pets awaiting adoption.
Naticook Day Camp would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Laurie Dufault, Director of Developments and Public Relations, and her amazing staff, Maureen Hall and Kerry Hilderbrand for bringing down their sweet animals and sharing information with the campers on the Humane Society. The kids had many questions and Laurie and her staff answered all of them with enthusiasm!
The Humane Society for Greater Nashua is a non-profit animal shelter that provides for and protects unwanted and homeless pets by connecting these pets with new loving families via adoption.
