New Ipswich Man Arrested For Drunk Driving – Again

Merrimack Police arrested Lucas Carron after an alleged yellow line violation. He was previously arrested at a sobriety checkpoint in 2014.

MERRIMACK, NH — A man arrested nearly three years ago for drunk driving was arrested again this week on the charge, according to police. Lucas Carron, 33, of Turnpike Road in New Ipswich, was arrested on July 19, 2017, for operating under the influence-liquor-second offense. Carron was pulled over by an officer for a reported yellow line violation while driving in town, according to Sgt. Chris Spillane of the Merrimack Police Department.

“After speaking with Carron, the officer observed several signs of impairment,” Spillane alleged. “Upon further investigation by the officer, Carron was arrested and subsequently charged with OUIL 2nd offense.”

Carron was charged, processed, and released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court next week.

According to a post on Patch, Carron was arrested for DWI in August 2014, after a sobriety checkpoint held on Route 101A in Amherst. In December of that year, the state took away his license, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.
