North Reading Man Arrested For Slashing Motorcycle Tire: Cops

Merrimack Police: Joel Berg was arrested last month and accused of vandalism after an altercation on Priscilla Lane last summer.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Bay State man was arrested and arraigned on a vandalism charge last month after allegedly damaging a vehicle last year, according to police. Joel Berg, 36, of Locust Street in North Reading, MA, was arrested on March 24, 2018, for criminal mischief. According to police, back in August 2017, Berg was involved in an altercation at a home on Priscilla Lane, “which resulted in a motorcycle tire being punctured by a knife,” according to John Dudash of the Merrimack Police Department.

An officer investigated the incident and later, obtained a probable cause warrant against Berg.

“Berg was arrested in Hooksett on unrelated charges and was transported from Hooksett to the Merrimack Police Department for processing,” Dudash noted.

Berg was released on personal recognizance bail and was scheduled to be arraigned on March 29.

Previously, according to Tyngsborough Police, Berg was arrested in that community a few years ago for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
