Offensive Words, Domestic Assault Leads to Arrest in Merrimack
Police charged Scott Martell after he allegedly assaulted a family member and wouldn't stop using offensive words in public last night.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested last night and is expected be in court tomorrow to answer to the charges, according to police. Scott Martell, 49, of Merrimack, was arrested on Sept. 18. 2016, for domestic assault and disorderly conduct.

Officers, according to a report, were sent to a local residence at just before 7 p.m. last night for a report of a domestic dispute and conducted an investigation into the incident.

“It was determined that Martell assaulted a family member and was using offensive words in a public place,” alleged Sgt. Gregory Walters of the Merrimack Police Department.
Martell was arrested, processed, and released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on Sept. 20.
