Pair Arrested For Allegedly Growing Marijuana In Basement
Joseph Gardner and Kimberly Gardner were arrested on various charges after an alleged incident on Peter Road late last month.
MERRIMACK, NH — Late last month, Merrimack Police along with the DEA and the Hillsborough County Sherriff’s Office Street Crime Task Force arrested two people for allegedly growing marijuana in their home. Joseph Gardner, 38, and Kimberly Gardner, 39, of Peter Road in Merrimack, were both arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled drug-marijuana, possession of a controlled drug-marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled drug-marijuana. A search warrant was executed at the home on Jan. 31, 2018, after “information was developed that the occupants of the residence were growing marijuana in the basement,” according to Sgt. Cassell of the Merrimack Police Department.

“Upon executing the search, a sophisticated growing operation; consisting of specialized watering, lighting, and ventilation systems were located,” he alleged. “A large quantity of harvested marijuana and other suspected controlled drugs, which will require further testing at the state’s forensic laboratory, was also recovered.”

After being charged, Joseph Gardner reportedly refused bail; Kimberly Gardner was held on $10,000 cash bail. They were both arraigned on Feb. 1, in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South.
Back in 2011, according to a post on Patch, Joseph Gardner was arrested in Bedford on a criminal threatening charge. In 2013, New Hampshire State Police arrested Joseph Gardner for DWI in Merrimack. Kimberly Gardner was taken into protective custody.
