At around 2 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle lose control on the Daniel Webster Highway, according to a report, and end up in a snow bank. The first officer made contact with the driver – Amaro – who allegedly showed signs of impairment. After a roadside field sobriety test, he was arrested.

While other officers were helping out at the scene, Caraballo arrived to assist Amaro and was taken in to protective custody due to her “condition,” according to Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department.
