Parents Invited to Drug Paraphernalia Info Session

Juvenile Probation Officer will present 'Who Would've Thought: Creative Ways That Common Household Items Are Used By Teens For Substance Abuse'

Concord Juvenile Probation and Parole Officer Melissa Kimball will meet with parents and other community members in Merrimack to discuss and display items that are used to conceal or ingest illegal substances.

Learn what to look for as students are returning to school and maybe making new friends. The session, "Who Would’ve Thought…," is sponsored by the Merrimack Parents Information Network (MPIN), a group launched earlier this year from the former MPAL, whose mission is to inform and empower parents to help them address issues of alcohol and substance abuse.

The event is set for Thursday, Sept. 20, from 7-9 p.m. It will take place in the Town Hall Meeting Room and is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required, however a limited number of hand-outs will be available based on response.
