Pete Gagnon to receive Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service to Merrimack

We are pleased to announce the first recipient of the Merrimack Fall Festival Lifetime Achievement Award, for community service to the town of Merrimack will be presented to Arthur "Pete" Gagnon at the Merrimack Fall Festival's evening event "Merrimack Rocks" on September 28th at Watson Park
Pete retired from the Planning Board after 39 years of service, having been appointed in 1974. Pete has been instrumental in planning the town as it has grown from under 10,000 citizens to just under 30,000 citizens during his tenure on the Planning Board
Pete first moved to Merrimack in 1967, and has 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild with his wife of 54 years, Nancy, who has also been active in the community, serving as a State Representative, Selectman and member of many town boards.
The couple own and operate the Willow Pond Nursery in Merrimack. Prior to opening the nursery, Pete was a senior electrical engineer for Sanders, Lockheed and BAE as well as serving as a 1st Sargent in the Army National Guard where he served in Viet Nam.
