Police Arrest Teen For Burglarizing Church Rectory

The young man is charged with the theft of jewelry, cash and more from a pastor at St. John Neumann Church. The following information was provided by Merrimack Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A 19-year-old is being held on $15,000 cash only bail for burglarizing the rectory at St. John Neumann Church, police say.

Dylan Provost, whose last known address is 5 Skyview Drive, Nashua, was charged by with burglary and felony theft for having allegedly stolen jewelry, cash, medication and a personal check made out to the pastor of the church, who reported the theft on Monday, Oct. 24.

A warrant was issued for Provost's arrest on Friday, Oct. 28, after an investigation indicated him as the suspect.

Police say the rectory was burglarized sometime between Thursday, Oct. 20 and Friday, Oct. 21.

They didn't say why, but police said Provost was identified as being someone familiar with how to access the rectory.

He was scheduled for arraignment on Monday, Oct. 31.
