Police: Man Broke Restraining Order in 6 Days

Joseph Martell, 34, of 7 Jennison Street Keene, was charged with violation of protective order and breach of bail conditions on Sunday after a person he had been ordered to stay away from informed police he'd violated that order. The protective order, handed down by Milford judge Martha Crocker on Jan. 17, prohibited Martell from coming within a 100 yards of that party. He was on on bail on a simple assault arrest that occurred on Jan. 14, police say. He was transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections and held without bail pending his arraignment before the Ninth Circuit Court in Merrimack on Jan. 30

Sharon Polt, 49, of 17 Longwood Lane, Merrimack, was charged with two counts of possession of a prescription drug. Police say they found Polt and another person sitting in a car at Horse Hill Nature Preserve and out them in to protective custody for unspecified reasons. While processing the pair, police say they found prescription medication on Polt that she could not provide a prescription for. She was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and will be in court on March 6 to answer to the charge.

Laura Babb, 24, lf 15 Glastonbury Drive, Nashua, was arrested Friday for operating under the influence of liquor, possession of marijuana, transportation of drugs and an open container violation after being stopped for driving erratically. She showed signs of impairment while talking with authorities, police say, and she was arrested for OUIL. She was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail, and will be arraigned Feb. 28 in Merrimack's district court.

Travis R. Arel , 22, of 9 Everest Drive, Merrimack, was charged with OUIL and DWI aggravated during his arrest on Jan. 26. Police responded to the area of 3 Spaulding Dr for a reported motor vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, police say they observed a vehicle that had traveled off the paved portion of the roadway, across the front yard of a neighboring residence and collided with a large rock and small tree. While questioning Arel about the accident, police say they observed signs of alcohol impairment and further investigation led to his arrest. He booked and released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. Arel is scheduled to be in Merrimack's district court on Feb. 28 to answer to the charges.

Caitlin Kinnunen, 22, 181 South Street Milford, was arrested by Milford Police Wednesday on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Merrimack Police Department. The warrant stemmed from an incident on Jan. 22, that allegedly took place in Merrimack. Kinnunen reported to members of the police department that a specific individual caused significant damage to her vehicle, police say.

During the course of the investigation it was determined the allegations were untrue. Kinnunen was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is ordered to answer to the charges in Merrimack's District Court on Feb. 28.
