Police: Man Put Up a 'Struggle' During Threat Arrest

Herman Deyette of Merrimack was arrested on numerous changes.

A local man was arrested earlier this week on an alleged threat charge but according to police, he didn’t want to go quietly.

Herman Deyette, 54, of Eastridge Road in Merrimack, was arrested on May 6, 2015, and charged with criminal threatening, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

According Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department, officers were sent to the home at around 6 p.m. to investigate a complaint about a threat. When they arrived, they conducted an investigation into the allegation and decided to arrest Deyette.

“Contact was made with Deyette and as officers attempted to take him into custody he actively resisted,” according to Marquis. “After a lengthy struggle Deyette was taken into custody. It is alleged that Deyette yelled profanities and threatened the life of a neighbor at the complex.”

Deyette was held after refusing bail and transported to Hillsborough County Department of Corrections. He was arraigned yesterday.
