Police: Merrimack Man Assaulted Girlfriend

A local man was arrested recently and held on cash bail after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Kevin Rondeau, 49, of Arlington Street in Merrimack, was arrested on March 2, 2015, and charged with two counts of simple assault-domestic violence and obstructing the report of a crime.

According to police, officers were sent to a domestic in progress at around 12:20 a.m. involving an assault at the home on Arlington Street.

When they arrived, they spoke to the parties involved and determined that Rondeau had allegedly assaulted his girlfriend earlier in the evening and then again that morning.

“While victim was attempting to call police Rondeau hung up the phone,” Sgt. Foley of the Merrimack Police Department alleged. “Rondeau was arrested and transported to the Merrimack Police Department for processing.”

Rondeau was held on $5,000 cash bail and transported to the Valley Street Jail. He was arraigned later that day.
