Police Nab Nike Thief at Merrimack Premium Outlets

The Manchester man allegedly stole three pairs of sneakers from the Nike Factory Store.

A Manchester man was arrested July 19 for allegedly stealing three pairs of sneakers from the Nike Factory Store at Merrimack Premium Outlets.

Police identified the alleged thief as Chasrick Heredia, 18, of 109 Eastern Ave., # 205.

He was charged with resisting detention, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and theft by unauthorized taking.

The alleged thief was identified by a observant Merrimack police officer. The officer was conducting a routine patrol at the outlets when he saw a person walk by who resembled the person captured on video fleeing the store on July 18. The officer stopped the man and, as he was speaking to him, Heredia ran away through the mall, police said.

Police were able to track him down, and they apprehended him in front of the Nike Factory Store.

Heredia continued to resist arrest, police said, and when he was placed in the rear of the police cruiser, he kicked out the side window. He was arraigned July 19 and held at Valley Street Jail in Manchester on $1,500 cash/corporate surety bail, police said.
