Presidential Candidate Makes Merrimack Stop Amid NH Walking Tour

MERRIMACK, NH — Presidential candidate Joe Sestak made a stop in Merrimack as part of his "Walking In Your Shoes" tour across New Hampshire on Monday night. The former U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania spoke to military families at the VFW Post 8641 Auxiliary Meeting during the second day of his walking tour of the Granite State.

Sestak made also made stops in Keene, Dublin and Somersworth on Monday.

"Military spouses have to deal with so much," Sestak wrote on his Twitter account of his Merrimack stop. "I was so pleased to speak to the VFW Auxiliary in Merrimack, NH, about veterans’ issues, but also accountability in politics and how we start to unite this country again."

Sestak intends to walk the length of southern New Hampshire as part of his campaign. He began on Sunday at the border crossing at Brattleboro, Vt. and is scheduled to complete his trek in Portsmouth.
