Queen City Man Arrested On Stolen Firearm Charge

Gregory Gosselin was arrested today after a car break-in incident in the North End on Friday morning. He's being held on $15,000 cash bail.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested on a gun theft charge today from Friday morning, according to Merrimack Police. Gregory M. Gosselin, 33, English Village Way in Manchester, was arrested on Nov. 20, 2017, for felony theft of a firearm. Last week, an officer was sent to a report of a vehicle break-in in the North End of town and learned that a loaded firearm that had been left in the vehicle was stolen, according to Det. Scott Park.

Investigators and patrol officers “compared notes,” he stated, and learned that Gosselin had allegedly been discovered in the area around 3:30 a.m. They also learned that Gosselin was on federal parole for weapons charges.

“Late Friday morning, police were informed that a resident near the victim’s home had a home video surveillance system, which captured Gosselin parking his vehicle and subsequently entering their vehicles which were parked in the driveway,” Park alleged. “Police later viewed and shared captured footage with federal parole officers, where they were able to identify Gregory Gosselin.”

Gosselin was arrested by Manchester Police and federal parole officers without incident. He is being held on $15,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned today.
