Dudley will help oversee how Red Cross and community partners provide support for those affected by the flooding. As the response continues, community partners will begin to take over the disaster work at their local offices utilizing their resources. Community Partnerships ensures that those relationships are handed over so local entities have information and records of care and support provided, and can continue the recovery.
More than 4,500 homes have been destroyed or severely damaged across Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Currently, the Red Cross is providing emergency help such as food and shelter, and will be on the ground for the coming weeks supporting those affected as they begin to recover from the flooding.
