A Merrimack resident faces trial Jan. 13 for allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs – and with her young child in the car – this fall.
Police say Katie Emery also was involved in a minor two-car rear-end accident outside the James Mastricola Upper Elementary School, on School Street. The other driver, Kristine Sawdey. 47, of Nathan Hale Lane, was not injured in the crash, which happened shortly after she dropped her child off at the school. Sawdey’s 2013 Honda Odyssey mini-van received minor damage. Emery drove a 2002 Honda Accord.

The incident occurred at 8:36 a.m. on Oct. 27.
Police arrested Emery, 39, of Baboosic Lake Road, and charged her with aggravated driving while intoxicated-drugs after she failed field sobriety tests.

She was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. She faces trial Jan. 13 in the Ninth Circuit Court, Merrimack Division.
Meanwhile, three people allegedly broke into Majestic Motors for a theft earlier this month.
Police arrested the suspects – and seek a fourth – after allegedly spotting them gathering tools in the office of the dealership, 734 Daniel Webster Highway, on Dec. 16. Police had seen a Chevrolet Pickup registered to one of the suspects parked at the dealership, with tools and motor vehicle parts in it.
The suspects ran after seeing police, but were arrested soon after.
Police had been vigilant after a series of thefts, including a 1955 Dodge Power Wagon pickup stolen from the dealership on Dec. 1. After the arrests, police found the pickup in a Dunbarton garage. Police also found auto parts stolen from the dealership.
Police arrested the following on multiple burglary and theft charges: Tobin Perry. 21, of 22 Thomas Drive, Goffstown; Dylan Ramos, 18, of 600 Hevey St., Manchester; and John Ives, 21, of New Boston. Police did not provide Ives’ street address.
A warrant has been issued for the fourth suspect, Richard Nocella, 19, of Goffstown.
Perry, Ramos and Ives faced a probable cause hearing Wednesday. They had been held on bail.
Also, a Merrimack resident allegedly harassed a Garnet Lane residence with repeated phone calls earlier this month.
On Dec. 14, police arrested Shanna Reid, 30, of 5 Pearl Court, and charged her with harassment. The incident happened on Dec. 13.
Reid was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. She faced arraignment Dec. 16.
Also, a Merrmack teenager allegedly damaged a toaster oven during a recent argument.
On Dec. 15, police arrested Jack Randall, 17, of Christopher Road on a warrant for criminal mischief. The argument happened Dec. 14.
Randall was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. He faced arraignment Dec. 16/
A Merrimack resident allegedly was drunk when police pulled her vehicle over on Daniel Webster Highway, near the Webster Green Condominiums, recently.
Police arrested Kimberly Desfosses, 35, of 11 Indian Rock Road, and charged her with driving while intoxicated. Police stopped her 2014 Nissan Altima at 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 18.
Desfosses was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. She faces arraignment Jan. 2 in the Ninth Circuit Court in Merrimack.
Meanwhile, a Hudson resident faces assault charges after a recent incident at an apartment complex.
Police arrested Frederick Perrault, 46, of 412 Elmwood Village, Hudson, and charged him with three counts of domestic/simple assault.
Perrault allegedly pushed someone several times during the incident, which was reported at 9:49 p.m. Dec. 17. He faced arraignment Dec. 18 after being released on $3,500 personal recognizance bail.
