Mild Weather and Then, Another Messy Mix

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook in New Hampshire for Tuesday night, Wednesday.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook at just before 4 p.m. on Feb. 28, 2016, warning Granite Staters to expect snow, freezing rain, sleet, and then rain beginning on Tuesday night and into Wednesday, according to the alert.

AccuWeather.com forecasters are noting that Monday will be mild but then, freezing temps come into the region, the messy mix, and then, more freezing temps.

Expect commuting hours on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning to be difficult especially if the storm shifts south a bit. Sporadic power outages are possible, according to meteorologists.

Here is the latest National Weather Service forecast:

Tonight: Clear and cool with lows in the upper 30s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy and then clearing with highs in the lower 50s with strong winds. Temps drop back down into the 20s during the evening with more wind. Expect wind gusts of up to 25 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny skies with highs in the 30s with more wind gusts. During the evening though, clouds being to roll in with snow expected to start in the early morning hours mixing with sleet and freezing rain in most of the lower part of New Hampshire.

Wednesday: Rain or freezing rain in the morning and then rain in the afternoon with highs in the 40s. The rain is expected to continue into the evening with temps in the 20s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny skies are expected with lows near freezing.
