Safe Halloween Activity: Neighborhood Trunk-or-Treat in Merrimack on Oct. 24

The community is invited to attend a safe and not-so-scary Halloween activity on Sat., Oct. 24 from 4-6 p.m. at The Learning Experience.

The Learning Experience® (TLE®), one of the nation’s fastest growing Academies of Early Education for children six weeks to five years old, in Merrimack is hosting a safe Halloween-themed “Neighborhood Trunk-or-Treat” event on Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m. at 706 Milford Road in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

At this free event open to the community, children will be saying “trunk or treat” instead of “trick or treat” as they participate in a fun alternative to the traditional door-to-door version of Halloween. Turning the backs of more than 10 cars, minivans, and sport utility vehicles into the new front porch, trunk-or-treating brings Halloween to the safety of TLE®’s parking lot, where children and parents can go from vehicle to vehicle to view decorated trunks, admire costumes and collect tasty treats. Halloween-inspired activities will include pumpkin decorating, music, games, and of course, a best decorated trunk contest!

The event will serve as a light-hearted environment for children and their parents to interact with “Touch-a-Trucks”, a hands-on opportunity to explore working trucks of all types and meet the people who build, protect and serve the community. Additionally, community partners including Amelia’s Florists and the Aquatic Center will be onsite at the event.
