Salem Wins NHWAY State Wrestling Title

NASHUA, NH, Feb 25, 2018 - The New Hampshire Wrestling Association for Youth (NHWAY) hosted its first annual 12U State Championships at Nashua South High School on Sunday.

The competition drew 220 of the best youth wrestlers from across the state filling brackets ranging from 37 pounds up to 202 pounds. Wrestlers were distributed among four age divisions in mostly 8-man double elimination brackets with nine brackets requiring a 16-man bracket to determine a champion. A total of 45 state champions were crowned in an exciting day of wrestling.

With 10 individual State Champs, 6 runners-up and 3 third place finishers, the Salem Bulldogs turned in a dominant team performance and took the team championship. The Nashua Boys and Girls Club finished in second place. Complete team and individual results were as follows.
