Senate President Bragdon Files for Reelection

Peter Bragdon, of Milford, being challenged by Merrimack Town Councilor Dan Dwyer.

On Thursday, Senate President Peter Bragdon filed for re-election to the state Senate from District 11, a new Senate district made up by Amherst, Merrimack, Milford and Wilton.

"I am running again to build upon the progress we made this term," Bragdon said. "I was proud to lead the state Senate in solving the state's $800 million budget problem without raising taxes and in reforming our business tax laws to make New Hampshire a better state for businesses and their employees to succeed. Though that was a great first step, we now need to be vigilant to make sure the same tax and spend philosophy that got us into those problems doesn't come back again."

"I will continue to be a strong voice for the towns in District 11 and their citizens and will continue to help them with issues involving the state."
