Send Wendy Thomas to Concord to fight for clean water
Wendy will continue her 6 year battle to hold polluters accountable for their damage.

Dear neighbors,
I have worked alongside Wendy Thomas for the past 6 years fighting for the needs of citizens impacted by PFAS contamination, and she has my vote for Merrimack State Representative in the November election. When Merrimack learned in March of 2016 that our drinking water that we believed to be safe was contaminated, we were stunned. We can see and studies have documented the health impacts of chronic PFAS exposure. Merrimack citizens are additionally paying to remediate what we did not cause.
Residents outraged by the lack of urgency and effectiveness displayed by elected officials have done our own research, advocated for our own needs, and formed a highly effective community advocacy group, Merrimack Citizens for Clean Water. Wendy Thomas is a founding member of our group and was elected to office in 2018 as one of the “water warriors,” a name given to them by the Union Leader, as our group’s mission had become highly visible at that time. While in office and in the intervening time, Wendy continued the PFAS education and advocacy needed in Merrimack, as well as the state and even the federal level. She has continually engaged elected officials in both parties and worked to find legislative solutions for the needs of contaminated communities who bear both the costs and the harm of PFAS pollution. Wendy knew that without effective oversight, we will not see polluter accountability, including cleanup and the full cost of remediation, or an end to toxic discharges and emissions at the source.

Legislation thus far has been hard won, faced much opposition and even political obstruction. The work is far from over, and we need to send Wendy back to the NH House. Wendy knows how convincing industry representatives and lobbyists can sound to representatives, with her years of experience Wendy knows how corporations like Saint Gobain continue to get away with their travesties.
Please join me in showing corporate polluters that their agenda does not work for Merrimack by sending a house representative to Concord who knows how to fight for what we need. Vote for Wendy Thomas.
