On September 9th in the New Hampshire, Senate District 11 Republican Primary, voters have a clear choice. More of the same or a business and community oriented leader who is sick and tired of business as usual in Concord.
I consider myself to be the challenger in this Senate race because I am up against two political insiders. Just as I challenged a sitting Senate President two years ago I am facing two individuals who have a long track record with the party establishment. State Rep. Gary Daniels is a dedicated Selectman from the town of Milford and has served 18 years in the House of Representatives. My other opponent Maureen Mooney, from Merrimack has a long history of Republican activism within the party. She has been responsible for the party platform as it is written today, has been an assistant Republican Leader when she served in the House, has been a leader within Hillsborough County, and an elected delegate to State Conventions. She also has a highly decorated steering committee consisting of 31 members, many of whom have been movers and shakers in Concord for decades and are considered the Old Guard of New Hampshire politics.
I am a different kind of Leader. I am foremost a business person and heavily Involved within my community. I am currently serving as a Town Councilor for Merrimack and have served on several committees including the Merrimack Economic Development Citizen Advisory Committee. I am a founding member of the Merrimack Business Association which serves to promote local business in our community as well as a founding member of the Merrimack Fall Festival and Business Expo (eight years running) and Merrimack Rocks. I am also an owner of a small business, a transportation service which operates in southern NH. And for over 15 years I’ve been involved in real estate development and management. I have over 14 years’ experience as a sales executive in the package industry which led me to travel all over the US and Central America where I was responsible for opening new markets in El Salvador and Costa Rica. I have been married for over 26 years to my wife Julie and have three children who I helped coach in my younger years in basketball and soccer. I have been a Foster Parent and worked within the State Court system as GAL (Guardian Ad Litem) which investigates family matters involving children.

Lastly, If the voters like what is going on currently today they have two experienced people in that political arena who can continue with the Status Quo since they helped establish it. I believe the people are looking for something different. What I can bring to the table is a fresh face and business approach to what is happening in Concord. Someone who knows and feels their anger and frustrations and who will bring a strong business and community involvement background and common sense to the forefront.
On September 9th please choose to stop the Madness that is going on at the State House and try someone different. On September 9th cast a vote for Dan Dwyer for State Senate in Senate District 11
