Speeding on Route 101A Leads to Drug Charges
Merrimack Police arrest Tyler Plant of Jaffery last week.

A local man was arrested on drug charges after reportedly being stopped for speeding on Route 101A.
Tyler Plant, 26, of North Street in Jaffrey, was arrested on July 3, 2015, and charged with possession of a narcotic drug and transportation of a narcotic drug.

An officer, at around 9:15 p.m., stopped a vehicle on Route 101A reportedly for speeding.
While speaking with driver, later identified as Plant, the officer “made observations of possible drug use.” While investigating the situation, the officer allegedly found Plant to be in possession of marijuana and oxycodone. Plant was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and later, released on personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court next week, according to police.
