Rain is expected to creep into the region with the most rain expected on Saturday and Sunday, according to AccuWeather.com. Expect showers and thunderstorms beginning on Saturday night and then into Sunday.
“If the storm develops to its full potential and hugs the coast, it may seem like a wet nor’easter in some areas with windswept drenching rain, chill and rough surf,” said Alex Sosnowski, a senior meteorologist at the website.

As much as two inches of rain could fall across the Northeast and some flooding is expected.

Mostly cloudy skies on Friday with a high in the mid-70s and a light breeze. During the evening, expect lows to be in the 50s.
On Saturday, showers possible in the afternoon with increasing clouds and highs in the low 70s. The rain, heavy at times, runs through the evening, with temps in the low 60s.
Similar weather is expected on Sunday – rain, heavy at times, with highs in the low 60s, with more rain during the evening.
The sun returns on Monday.
