State to Host Southern NH Contaminated Water Meeting on June 29

Residents of Amherst, Bedford, Litchfield, Londonderry, Manchester, and Merrimack will be updated about ongoing PFOA, PFOS investigation.

CONCORD, NH - Officials from the state of New Hampshire will be hosting a public information for all communities dealing with perfluorochemicals - perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), specifically - in drinking water later this month. 

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, in the all-purpose room of the James Mastricola Upper Elementary School, 26 Baboosic Lake Road in Merrimack. 

Public Information Officer Jim Martin of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services said officials from NH DES as well as the Department of Health and Human Services (NHDHHS) will be discussing the latest well test findings and updating residents about the "ongoing investigation" of the contamination.
