Superintendent, Middle School Principal Top Wage Earners in 2011

The salaries showed top earners, thanks to details mostly paid through outside contracts, as police officers and firefighters with some of the town's top administrative staff in the Top 50 as well.

This week, as promised, we bring you school salaries, which reflect top leadership roles and teachers with years of longevity as the higest wage earners.

Superintendent Marge Chiafery tops the list, which includes Assistant Superintendent Mark McLaughlin, Business Administrator Matt Shevenell and the principals and assistant principals at Merrimack's schools.
