Teen Arrested on Pot Charge

Merrimack Police arrested a student at the high school yesterday morning.

MERRIMACK, NH - Merrimack Police arrested a teen yesterday on a drug charge after an incident in the school’s parking lot, according to a report.

According to police, at around 7:45 a.m. on April 19, 2016, school administrators reported to police there there was a student in a parking lot who might be involved in drug activity.

When police arrived, they made contact with the student – a 17-year-old male – and he was allegedly found with a small amount of marijuana. He was then arrested, according to a report. 

“Once in police custody he was brought to the police station where he was processed and released to a parent,” according to Lt. Ted Dillon of the Merrimack Police Department. “The case has been forwarded to the juvenile detective where formal charges will be forthcoming through juvenile petitions.”
