Teen Charged with Marijuana Possession After Crash
Merrimack Police charge Shawn Crement after Joppa Road accident.

A local teen will be in court later this month on a drug charge after an accident that sent three people to the hospital.
Shawn Crement, 17, of Patten Road in Merrimack, was arrested on Nov. 19, on possession of a controlled drug and transporting a controlled drug.
According to police, officers and Merrimack Fire and Rescue teams were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Baboosic Lake Road and Joppa Road around 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 19.

Upon arrival, they found two vehicles – a Saturn Vue and a Jeep Liberty – with heavy damage in the middle of the intersection. Firefighters tended to Crement and an elderly man who was driving the other vehicle. Three people were transported to the hospital, according to police.
During the course of the investigation into the crash, which included traffic being detoured from the area for about a half an hour, police alleged that Crement was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and he was arrested.

Crement is due in court on Dec. 16.
