At around 7 p.m., officers were sent to Scott Drive to arrest Leclaire on a warrant from an incident on May 9, 2016, on Dalton Court where he and a juvenile allegedly assaulted another juvenile.

“(He) grabbed the victim by the shirt and pushed the victim to the juvenile,” according to Lt. Dean KillKelley of the Merrimack Police Department. “While the victim was being assaulted by the juvenile, Leclaire threw a beer can, striking the victim in the face, at which time the victim fell to the ground. Once the victim was down, Leclaire kicked the victim in the stomach and rib area.”

When they arrived at the home on May 18, Leclaire was in the front yard, according to report.

“Upon observing the officers walking up the driveway, Leclaire ran into the house and out the back door,” KillKelley said. “Officers chased Leclaire into the woods behind his house and took him into custody a short time later.”

Leclaire was transported to the Merrimack Police Department where he was processed and later, released on personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on June 30.
