Teens Invited to Enter 4 Way Speech Contest
Deadline to apply for Merrimack Rotary's annual contest is March 16.

The Merrimack Rotary Club is hosting the annual Rotary 4 Way Speech Contest for Merrimack residents who are students in grades 9-12. The contest goals are to develop the study and communication of the Rotary Four Way Speech Test as a moral and ethical model for behavior, decision making and life practice through a speech contest for high school students. This will involve broad participation in the contest by students, teachers, schools, parents, Rotarians and others. Competition is open to public, private and home school students.
This year's competition will be held at Merrimack High School's Little Theater on March 21 at 7 p.m. The local winner will then compete at finals in Henniker on April 29. Financial prizes are awarded.
Applications and rules can be obtained at the Merrimack Public Library or from Jan Moynihan-Cooney or Diana Plantier at Merrimack High School. Deadline for applications is March 16 at 5 p.m. Contact Patrick McGrath for more details or questions at 880-1568.
