Time to go Darker for Autumn

Labor Day has come and gone, and  fall is fast approaching, Leaves will soon be falling, the days will be getting cooler and you’ll be reaching for a cozy sweater to warm yourself in.

When the seasons change, so should your style. It’s no wonder that the coming of fall leaves many trend setters  feeling the need to switch up their hair color. Fall is the perfect time to go darker! Summer, usually leaves your hair washed out, dull, and dry. Choosing a darker color gives your hair a deep, velvety sheen, leaving hair looking and feeling refreshed. This means it’s time to say goodbye to light  summer blondes and say hello to rich shades of chocolate , auburn, chestnut, and red violets.

Many natural blondes may feel hesitant to go darker, but the truth is, darker shades work with every skin tone! Consider low lighting for dimension and balance.  However, we do recommend consulting your hair colorist before you take the plunge! That way, they can help you choose a shade that’s right for you.

So how can a trend setter  keep those dark locks from fading too quickly? Shampooing is one of the biggest contributors to color fade, so we recommend that you try not to wash your hair more than necessary. Usually, most color treated heads can shampoo every other day. You should also use a color-protecting shampoo and conditioner to keep your color looking lustrous.

Are you ready to go darker this fall? Book your appointment now to see one of our skilled hair stylists and colorists! Hairthurium is ready to transform your look, call  886-1220.
