Trendy Back to School Looks

Back to  School season begins!  Besides the pencils, paper and backpacks, your student will need a fresh style to make the grade.  Here are the trends to look for this fall that will leave the little scholar in your life at the top of the class, or at least the envy of all their friends.

Ponies, braids and everything in between is the biggest trend for fall.  Whether you embody the true essence of the 80s and place your pony above your ear or you go for the more subtle low, off-center, side pony, this look is sure to turn heads in the halls.  But wait!  Don’t stop there. Turn your pony into a braid. Whether simple, fishtail or French, braids offer an easy no fuss style that lasts all day.

To really make the grade, don’t forget your side part. Falling to the side is what trends are gravitating to this year.  If you wear your hair down, in a low off-center pony or braid, letting your hair fall over one shoulder will offer an asymmetrical look that will set you apart from the crowd.

This goes for men too!  Side parts and length are two common elements in men's hair trends this fall.

Straight Bangs for Straight A's Forget side-swept bangs, styles now seem to focus on a full, straight across bang.  This look highlights cheekbones and jaw lines, but the sheer edginess will set you apart from the rest.

Top-Notch Top Knots and Buns. Top knots, low messy buns or side bundles are quick easy alternatives when you’re rushing to the bus-stop.  These styles can be built on top of a pony or with a few bobby pins to keep it edgy.

Short and Chic.  Want lower maintenance?  Short, chic styles are definitely on trend this school year.  If you’re looking for a fresh change without the haircut, consider color. Highlights, Ombre` or all over color are great options.
