Update Your Resume for Outlets Job Fair

Great opportunity to be seen and heard at Friday's at Nashua Community College. The job fair runs from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

How to prepare:

• Triple-check your resume for updates, accuracy and spelling. Have someone give it a second read just to make sure you didn't miss any errors.
• Bring plenty of copies with you.
• Plan to arrive early; don't wait until 5:45 p.m.
• Check your wardrobe. Dress for success, which means ladies, nothing low cut or short slung. Forget the glitz and don't be too fashion forward; and gents, shirt and tie, nice slacks, no sneakers, jacket optional. Again, get a second opinion on the outfit you're planning to wear, which should say "I'm serious and ready to get to work," rather than "I didn't think it mattered how I look."
• Practice your handshake, which should be firm, not crushing, and your smile, which should be generous.
• Also practice your best elevator introduction, which sums you up in a sentence or two.
