VIDEO: 'The Crops Are Doing Well'

Corn and other crops are OK, but farmer Sean Trombly still would like to see some rain.

Sean Trombly credits some great Souhegan soil for his crops doing well this year, as fellow farmers eye the heavens and wonder what the rest of the summer season will bring without some decent rain.

Trombly, owner and jack of all trades at Trombly Gardens in Milford, spoke about the season so far in between selling some crops Wednesday at the Merrimack Farmers' Market.

His is a family farm. His grandfather bought the land in 1950, and it was originally a chicken farm. Sean Trombly was born and raised on the farm, which is going strong into 2012. Besides hard work, Trombly said the success of local farmers comes from locals who want to know from where their food comes.
