Walk the Merrimack Community Poetry Trail
Pick up a guide, visit all the sites, enjoy National Poetry Month, and then turn the guide in for a chance to win a raffle basket.

For National Poetry Month, the Merrimack Public Library and various community members are hosting the Merrimack Community Poetry Trail, according to a press statement.
By posting poetry for all ages throughout the town of Merrimack, the library hopes to connect town citizens through the art of poetry. The Library has partnered up with 12 sites in town, who will each host a poem for the month of April. Residents are encouraged to pick up a “Trail Guide” at the library, which will lead you to the various host sites.
During the course of the month, visit the spots to read the poem, which library staff picked specially for each place. While there, make sure you get a stamp for your guide to show proof of visit, because those residents who visit seven or more of the host sites will be entered for a poetry-inspired raffle basket filled with books, writing accessories, and a gift card to Shaws, generously donated by our D.W. Hwy branch. All ages are welcome to participate, as a family, with friends, or individually. Stamped trail guides should be turned in by May 1, 2015, to be entered in the raffle.
