Where to Vote in Merrimack Today

It's Election Day in Merrimack.
From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. the polls at St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, and James Mastricola Upper Elementary School, 26 Baboosic Lake Road.

On the town side of things this year, voters are asked this year to elect three members to the Town Council, two people to the Ethics Committee, one Trustee of the Trust Funds, two Library Trustees, one Treasurer, one Town Clerk/Tax Collector, one Moderator and one Supervisor of the Checklist.
The articles on this year's ballot include a and a at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. Both articles need two-thirds majority to pass.

Article four is for the which would be increased by $31,916 if Article 5 passes and $2,921 if Article 6 passes. The budget this year represents a flat tax rate from the 2011-12 budget.
Articles 5 and 6 pertain to negotiated between the local unions and the town earlier this year.
On the school ballot, voters are asked to elect two people to the School Board, two to the Planning and Building Committee, four to the Budget Committee for three years and two to fill out one-year terms.
The six-question warrant asks voters to authorize the school board to accept gifts to the district that may become available during the year and to approve a that would reduce this year's budget by more than $180,000.
It also asks voters to take action on the and whether residents will spend $110,000 – $65,000 of which would come from reserve funds and $45,000 of which would be raised by taxes – to reconstruct and expand the parking lot at Reeds Ferry Elementary School.

Residents should note the Anyone who used to vote at the church on Daniel Webster Highway across from the Homestead is directed now to vote at JMUES on Baboosic Lake Road.
The polling location was closed due to safety concerns. Also note, the voting hours have been reduced by one hour, closing at 7 p.m. instead of 8 p.m. as it used to be.
