Woman Busted for DWI with Child in Car

Police press multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of a child.

Merrimack police have charged a Manchester woman with aggravated drunken driving, among other alleged offenses, with a young child in her back seat.

Police identified the woman as Tasha Fisher, 32, of 403 Lake Ave., Manchester. Charges filed Tuesday night, according to Merrimack Police:

  • operating under the influence, second offense,
  • aggravated operating under the influence,
  • endangering the welfare of a child, and
  • a handicapped parking violation.

Police responded to the Walgreens parking lot at 615 Daniel Webster Highway for a report of an intoxicated woman driving with a child in the car.

Upon arrival, an officer found a 1994 Toyota Camry running and parked in the designated handicapped parking space. An officer approaching the car observed a young child in the back seat and the woman, showing signs of impairment, sitting in the driver's seat, police said.

Fisher was arrested and charged with the alleged offenses, and placed on $1,000 cash bail, which she was unable to post. She was taken to the Hillsborough County jail for the night, and was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack on April 18 to answer to the charges, police said.

The child was released to a family member.
