Wrestlers Make Good Showing in Seacoast Tourney
Merrimack youth wrestlers take home medals from the Seacoast Tourney
The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program sent ten wrestlers to compete in the Seacoast Youth Wrestling Tournament held at Winnacunnet High School in Manchester, NH, February 1, 2015. Individual results were as follows:
Sixth grader and team leader Aiden Hanning is peaking for the end of season championships. He dominated his bracket, winning all three matches by pin, en route to a first place medal.
First graders Cayden Dine and Gryffen Gelinas logged strong performances to finish in second place.

First grader Jackson Meehan, second grader Ivey Johnson, and third grader Marshall Koranda all won two matches from their 8-man brackets, resulting in 4th place finishes.
Other competitors included kindergartner Rhys Dewar, third graders Owen Forrest and Mitchell Krupp, and fifth grader Hunter Adams.

The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program is part of the Merrimack Youth Association. It strives to provide a safe recreational activity for Merrimack children in grades K-6. The program promotes the sport of wrestling, the world’s oldest sport, by providing a safe practice environment, by delivering high quality instruction, and by facilitating tournament competition opportunities. The Program is in its 9th season and currently has 40 wrestlers on its roster.
