YMCA Lifeguarding Course - Begins August 27

The YMCA of Greater Nashua's Merrimack Branch is offering a Lifeguard Course (for ages 15+) starting August 27 and runs through August 31. Class meets from 9am to 2pm daily.

This American Red Cross course will certify participants in lifeguard, first aid, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer. Participants will spend time in both the water and classroom setting to learn the skills. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and complete a prerequisite swim test: 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. Swim goggles may be used. Tread 2 minutes using legs only. Deep water 10lb. brick retrieval.
