Amherst Couple Arrested on Felony Charges

Lost wedding ring from a Milford man reportedly hocked in Nashua.

Two residents of Amherst are facing charges after an alleged incident involving a lost wedding ring, according to police.

Nicholas Baldasarre, 25, of Mill Street in Amherst, was arrested at around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 20, and charged with felony theft of lost/mislaid property. Also arrested was Emmalyne Castillo, 28, same residence, who was charged with receiving stolen property, a felony.

According to police, on Aug. 10, a man called the Milford Police Department to report a lost wedding band. The victim reported that he wasn’t sure of where he lost the ring but it was either in Milford or Nashua. The ring was valued at more than $1,500.

Police in Milford investigating the case found a pawn slip check revealing that Castillo sold the wedding ring at a pawnshop in Nashua, allegedly.

Nashua Police then got involved in the investigation and discovered that the ring was found outside of a North End business, allegedly by Baldasarre, who then reportedly gave it to Castillo to sell.

Warrants were filed against the couple and they were arrested. Both are facing sentences as long as 15 year each, including fines.
